Listening Loop for the Church

St. Peter Church recently installed Assistive Listening. We are currently in a soft launch to gather information and improve the system. Please use the form "Seeking Feedback" to provide positive and negative feedback. Your input will help us improve the system for everyone!

About Assistive Listening

The assistive listening system is connected to the St Peter's Guest Wi-Fi. To access it you will need to download the Listen WIFI app and connect to the Guest network when you are at the Church or in Biss Hall.

Please give yourself plenty of time to download the app and move through the process.

We suggest you do not download the app when you sit in the pew minutes before Mass but wait until after Mass when you are not rushed. You may need to adjust the volume on your phone.

Listening Technologies Tip: It is recommended that wired headphones be used with Listen WIFI to ensure low audio delay when lip sync is important. The use of Bluetooth® devices is not recommended due to the significant latency
that it can introduce.

1. Download the app.

2. Once you have downloaded the app, connect to the St Peter's Guest Wi-Fi.
Password: 501stryon

Please note, you will need to be in the Church or Biss Hall to connect with St Peter's Guest Wi-Fi.
You may receive the message "Unable to connect - Make sure your device is connected to a WIFI network that offers Listen WIFI and try again." 
Click OK.  (The app will take you to the WiFi screen. Select St Peter's Guest Wi-Fi and enter the password: 501stryon.)

3. On the app, select the blue Venue Scan. 

4. Select a channel. Two options will display - Audio KMBW (blue row) and Audio TGYV (black row). 
Select the black banner Audio TGYV.

(Please note, we have a work order out to rename these to Mass and Special Event.)

Once you select the channel, the assisted audio will begin. 

5. Adjust audio settings.

• Volume: You can adjust the volume using the controls within the app or your phone’s volume buttons.
• Audio Quality: Some events may offer multiple streams or audio quality options (e.g., clearer speech or enhanced music).
