Faith in Action

As a Jesuit parish guided by Ignatian spirituality, we are committed to walking with the poor and the excluded. We put our faith into action by promoting peace, ministering to our neighbors in need, and advocating for social change wherever injustice exists.
 
Faith in Action is the parish’s umbrella for all social justice and outreach efforts, including ministries that serve the community, initiatives that help parishioners live out Catholic Social Teaching, and opportunities for social action.
 
We look to Jesus as our model and follow his command to “love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12) by actively seeking the good of others and building a world that reflects God’s justice and mercy. 
 
Whether through volunteering in our communities, standing up for those who are treated unfairly, or working to create systems that promote human dignity, we live out our baptismal call to be the hands and feet of Christ. 
 
Catholic Social Teaching helps us see challenging social issues through the lens of our faith and informs how we are called to respond. Rooted in the Gospel, it shows us how to love our neighbor (Matthew 22:36-40) and calls us to respond to the needs of others with compassion, justice, and solidarity.
