For this seven session study: Paul’s Epistle to the Romans Fiery, combative, fiercely loyal to his children in the faith, and totally in love with Jesus – St. Paul is our Bible Study focus this fall.
We will read and discuss his Epistleto the Romans. The form that our faith has today is deeply indebted to this persecutor turned missionary, who brought the Word to the world outside of Jerusalem and Galilee.
Written to introduce himself to the Christian community in Rome, the Epistle to the Romans is Paul’s longest, most complex, and profound statement of his understanding of Jesus, of the Christian faith, and its relationship to Judaism.
Our guide is Robert J. Karris, OFM: Galatians and Romans (112 pages; Liturgical Press). The book is available in an inexpensive paperback or eBook.
