St. Peter Charitable Tithing

St. Peter Church is a tithing parish that sets aside 10% of its annual offertory to support charitable organizations in and around Charlotte that support our parish mission statement.

Community organizations are welcome to request funding by submitting a Request for Funding and the required information. The St. Peter Tithing Committee meets quarterly to review grant requests and recommend fund distributions. 

We support three core organizations each quarter:
1. Supportive Housing Communities (McCreesh Place)
2. Roof Above (merged Urban Ministry Center and Men’s Shelter of Charlotte)
3. YWCA Women in Transition
Each core organization is required to submit a grant request each year.
